Hi everyone,
My old man has just had an accident close to Kosi Bay in Manguzi. He was riding a GS1200 and a taxi was all over the road, then dodged a cow and my dad hit the cow at 80km/h.
He seems to be fine(might just be adrenaline), but there's a hole in the tank and he was riding alone. He believes if he fixes the tank he could get back to JHB.
Help or suggestions please:
Are there any dogs is that area that are planning to come up to JHB so we could get the bike back on a trailer (worst case)?
Has anyone ever managed to patch up a tank before - what could work?
Alternatively, anyone know if i could possibly buy a petrol tank and have that couriered down to him and have a workshop possibly fit it?
The bike is insured. Some locals have managed to get him to Maputo Land Lodge where we have booked him in for the night.
His phone is now flat so i can direct calls later this evening.
