Alex Van de Langeberg from Paarl sadly passed away on Saturday night after a head-on collision with a bakkie near Bainskloof ( Paarl/Wellington). He was riding an Apprilia -road bike and it was about 6pm. No one knows what happened yet , the bakkie driver made it.
I just spoke to Donovan's friend Zarin ( Roadkill) and he says the family is very cut up. I don't want to bother Donovan, so thought I would start a thread . Zarin says he will tell Donovan about this thread, he will need all the support he can get.
Donovan was the 2nd youngest finisher at the recent Amageza and this is heart-braking news.
Alex from Amageza also wishes to express his condolences on behalf of the Amageza team and to wish the Van de Langeberg family strength in this difficult time.
It is a huge shock to deal with something like this , let us know if there is anything we can do.
