Has anyone attempted to bleed brakes on their 650GS with ABS? I read on the Chain Gang that it can lead to problems unless you have some fancy instrument from BMW. I sit in the middle of Africa and need to do these maintenance items myself, obviously without access to these type of tools.
I argue that if you "flush" the system with new brake fluid there is not much that can go wrong - you only put in new fluid from the top and basically replace what comes out the bottom taking, taking care of course not to let air into the system. However, I am not sure if it is this staight forward and need guidance from someone who has previous experience.
Can anybody please help or refer me to a proper thread?
Kind regards,
L
