Hi all.

Need some info here. I am busy making pooratech crash bars for the bike. I am concerned about selecting the correct (read strong enough) mounting points. From the examples I have seen it looks like the most common points are:
1) 2nd bolt from the top on the main strut right behind the front wheel
2) 3rd bolt (below the above one) on the same strut
3) center bolt used to fix the bash plate on the bottom

Then I have seen (SWMotech I think) some bars mounted on the strut on the side of the bike just below the plastic bits. There is a hole in the strut and a Torque nut in there already. This point worries me a little as it looks like there is a need for spacers when adding a bar here.

Any other handy points strong enough or suitable for mounting crash bars on??

Has anyone got a diagram indicating the frame mounting points one can use for crash bars and panniers etc.? Been looking for such a diagram but the closest I have come is the BMW crash bar assembly diagrams.

Any info appreciated.
