BMW airflow pants.....replacement pads??

I have managed to get my hands on a pair of BMW airflow pants from a mate who has given up biking.
They have the knee-pads, but I see there is a place for hip-pads as well which I dont have :-\
Can these be bought seperately from BMW, or can anyone suggest an alternative?

I thought of making up some pads out of leather off-cuts and putting them in, but would prefer the real mcoy.
