BMW F 650 GS fuel consumption

I bought a F 650 GS in Dec 2012, my first bike - still had to learn how to ride! I'm trying to get an idea of the distance I can do one a tank of fuel. I've done about 300 km so far and the fuel light only came on now. What is the average consumption experienced by other riders here?
