check you batteries if you are still running the original battery and have not switched over to a sealed battery
this after noon i decided to check around a little - popped the side cover of to check the water etc
saw some sticky black stuff on the tappet cover - thought might be a small oil leak but was closer to tar than oil
checked around and there was a bit of battery acid that leaked onto a piece of plastic and luckily i caught it early
stripped everything and washed with baking soda and then rinsed with clean water
checked and it looks as if one of the plugs on the battery was not lekker tight ???
washed the battery with soda water as well and rinsed it - tightened all the plugs
made an insert from an old car tube and lined the battery box with it for some extra protection
whats funny is the overflow pipe is on the other side of the battery and the 2 times that i have dropped the bike has always been on the overflow pipe side ???
