Hi Dogs

I am sure this topic has been raised many times before, so apologies. Given the OEM's excessive service costs, would it be advisable to have a used motorcycle (out of warranty) serviced by a non BMW bike shop. My concerns would be technical ability on the GS 1200 bike, and re sale concerns affecting a potential full manufacturer warranty. If so any one with good advise in Gauteng on a realistically priced specialist?
