Take note, if you are involved in an accident and you phone BMW on Call, the recovery costs WILL be claimed from your insurance company, if you are insured through the BMW scheme they will cover the costs, if you are insured through someone else you need to find out what their recovery cost rate is, it might not cover the costs and you will be liable for the difference.
Peaches' bike was recovered by BMW on Call this December,400km and 7hrs, total costs = R5130-00, my insurance company only pays R1500-00. WE are liable for the difference...
I will not go into the in's and out's of what actions I am taking, that is still a 'work in progress'.
While your bike is under warranty and it breaks down, you will not be liable, they will cover the recovery costs, but if you are involved in an accident, weigh up your options before making that call, I was unaware of this clause, an expensive lesson learnt!
