Eks eintlik 'n Afr boytjie, maar hier gaat hy...
I've been driving my new "mellow yellow" 2010 Adventure for 6weeks now. i've bought the bike stock standard, no panniers or any aftermarket asseccories.
first item is the little metal "cover" to put on the left side throttle body? Will this actually save the item underneath in the event of a crash, seeing that you use the skrews on the throttle body to attach this metal cover? Has anybody damaged this plug/sensor by just letting the bike fall over?
Then, what reasonable priced cover can be bought to cover the radiator just underneath the screen? I suppose this is an oil cooler. Is +- R400 really what you need to pay for this? Gosh!
And also a cover for the headlight? I understsand the item(light itself) is quite expensive, but the prices of the covers seem extremely high? Is the demand such that these prices can be sustained? Or are all the "other" Adventure riders paying this because they can afford this? Is there maybe a plastic "film" that can be bought to stick onto a clean lens and so protect it from stones and the usual "sandblasting" effect?
What else can be considered "essential" when kitting out a GS Adventure? Luggage excluded of course?
