HISTORY
First owner was my brother-in-law. Serviced by BMW until end of Warranty, thereafter by my BIL himself (he's a Mechanical Engineer and services all his vehicles himself). I bought it from him in 2014 when the odo was on 57,000 km. BMW Pinetown serviced the bike before I took delivery. Every service since then was done by Marcus ("Gravel Man"). Marcus also ensured that all recalls were done. Because Marcus has the BMW software, the service history of the bike is captured on the BMW database.
Between 100,000 – 110,000 km the drive shaft was replaced (brand-new BMW part) and the clutch serviced (also brand-new BMW parts). The current battery is about 1 year old.
CONDITION
Buttercup starts at the touch of the button and runs very smoothly. For her age and mileage I would say her condition is very good. Due to me misjudging the slipperiness of wet grass, the left side lower crash bar and cylinder cover have some scratches. The front tyre is around 50% tread, but the rear tyre will need replacement soon (it is a newer tyre than on the photos).
