Got this box with the bike. The vario machanism does not work well, currently in in the expanded position, I got it all the way over to the collapsed position and back with some effort, I'm sure there is a mechanical guru out there who will be able to sort it out. I see from other posts it is a simple visit to your'e nearest BMW dealer to adapt the lock to you're own key. The box does have some minor scuff marks.
