The BOBZ team (Ballies On Bikes) is one again hosting their annual fundraiser in aid of www.reinhardtsplace.org.za in Pumula. Make a note for Sunday 28th October.
The route which is slightly different from last year’s event, will once again wind its way through the beautiful rugged countryside inland of the coast between Port Shepstone and Umzinto.
Riders will be dispatched with a leader in teams of 8 and will meet at Msigazi mountain en route for a simple breakfast before completing the rest of the course and ending up in Hibberdene again for lunch.
Last year’s outride which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part, set the scene for an annual event which is expected to grow to a maximum manageable number of 50 riders in total.
The entrance fee of R250 per rider includes breakfast en route and a spit roast lunch before people depart for home on the Sunday afternoon. Drinks will be on sale at the venue.
Our starting and finishing point this year will be the Khaya La Manzi guest lodge in Hibberdene (158 Riviera highway) – just follow the signs from the traffic lights in Hibberdene or from David drive before you enter the town from Durban.
Riders are asked to be ready to depart by 7.30am as the ride will take approximately 4 to 5 hours. Accommodation is available at Khaya La Manzi for those riders wishing to arrive on Saturday before the ride.
Entrance is limited to a maximum of 50 riders, so it would be advisable to contact Mike Lang on Zero Eight Two Three 7317 Five Three or reply here to secure your spot and should the weather be unfavourable on the day of the event – Sunday 28th October, we will notify all entrants of a new date in the near future soon after that date.
The Dawgs who joined us last year bring a few fellow Bikers with you to join in the fun and help raise some money for a needy cause
