Awsome report and pics respect man .  :ricky:

Nice riding, rice writing.

Turning around at the kraal was not a bad idea, the sand doesn't stop for quite a while. Here's a pic of my wife on the DRZ on that same track.

I rate that road from Blouputz to Riemvasmaak as one of the best DS riding you can have when in a hurry and on a light bike, damn, I must go again.

Thanks for the comments okes!  :thumleft:

My year started of at a ma'se pace, thus the long wait for the ride-report. But at long last there's signs of light at the end of the tunnel. (Hope its not a train!  ;D). The roads in that area are awesome. One needs a couple of days to explore. Like Metaljockey said. Its awesome country that!

I forgot to mention that Andy (XT660R) told me of the ATF fluid one could use in an emergency. He was also on my wife's speed dial should I not report in for more than 2 days.

Riding alone has its dangers, but it also has its joys, which for out-weighs the dangers!

Stunning pics and RR - thanks for taking the time and effort to share! Well done for the vasbyt  :thumleft:

Enjoyed the story and some awesome pictures!

Well done!  :thumleft:

Awsome RR,
one sometimes wonders of the wiseness of going it alone in "far away" places especially since other travelers could be far and in between.

But then maybe like you say "Riding alone has its dangers, but it also has its joys, which for out-weighs the dangers!" Hopefully always
