One of my mates, a not very active dog, came up with the idea of a night ride combined with a bosberaad.
The basic idea is this: Rock up at Francois' plot before 6 on Friday afternoon, pitch your tent, have a quick warmer upper beer and then we set off for a 30km night ride around the area.
We scouted the route on Saturday and last night did it under real night conditions. It's NOT a difficult ride and newbies will be able to do it. The ride took us 40mins to the beers stop, half an hour for chatting, laughing and the another 25 mins home, so we're looking at about 2 hours total.
If we set off at 6, we'll be back at the camp by 8. There will be people getting the fire going and looking after it while the rest is riding.
