Hi guys
I need some advice regarding the standard brake hoses on the 1150GS.
I have a R1150R, on my way on Friday I noticed lots of smoke coming from the engine....panic took hold and I rode straight to Bavarian Motorcycles. Turns out it was the left front brake line that apparently due to age perishes and as a result I had brake fluid all over my engine...with some missing paint as a result of the engine heat and brake fluid combination.
I was told that my 1150GS will eventually also have the same problem cause the standard rubber hoses are not made to last.
Have any of you experienced something similar on the GS? Would you recommend that I change the GS's brake lines to braided hoses...will cost about R1500 for the whole job?
