Afternoon all,
Have to go fetch my scoot in Cape Town next Friday morning and ride it back to Jo'burg - have to be back on the Sunday.
I've tentatively planned to go the route as plotted in the maps below. Now, a couple of questions...
(Maybe should mention this is going to be solo, unless there's someone that wants to join? nudge-nudge, :mwink: - :mwink
Firstly, I don't intend to camp, not going to fly down with all the gear, so it will be friends Night 1, backpackers or similar Night 2.
Day 1, I hope to leave Cape Town by noon at the latest; will I make Nieuwoudtsville before dark, taking into account the road conditions on the planned route?
Regarding the road conditions, not to bothered if I have to go slowish; my only real concern is getting flats - haven't done a roadside flat repair yet, and won't have any air in anycase...

For Day 2, I reckon there's 2 options. Recommendations? Similar concern - flats. Is it possible to do comfortably in a day. Also, probably don't have to go all the way to Kimberley, maybe stay over in Douglas, if there's anything there. But then the Sunday is going to be a long one...
