Cape Town Piketberg

Thanks to Keith, Kevin, Eros and Like we had a great day riding after meeting at 7am at Richwood on gravel most of the way to Malmesbury and then on gravel to Mooreesburg and further gravel to the Berg River crossing and then the sand road down to the tar. Left to the old mission station Goedverwacht and up and over the 4x4 track to the top of the mountains above Piketberg.
Lunch at Spur Piketberg and then backtracked to Koringberg, Mooreesburg, and Darling on some great sandy roads. Out of Darling on the Mamre road and then right down to the Westcoast Road past Grootte Post.
And home.
Just under 500km Simon's Town to Simon's Town.
Kevin has good photos and we will post a video of the 4X4 track from Goedverwact to the top of the plateau.

JC, het julle eers met die teerpad vanaf die Piketberg/Veldrifpad af opgery tot by Goedverwacht, en daarna met die sandpaadjie na Versveldpas toe? Is julle dis Versveldpas af?

My Ma het tot onlangs in Koringberg gewoon, so ons het gewoonlik gery van Koringberg grondpaaie langs oor die Bergrivier by Moravia en dan deur Goedverwacht tot op die berg. Gewoonlik dan die awesome teerpas af tot in Piketberg met 'n stop by die Spur.

Ek sal like om nog meer op die berg te explore en wil baie graag na die groot torings op die Suid Westelike punt van die berg gaan, maar die hekke is altyd gesluit. Miskien is dit 'n opsie? https://goo.gl/maps/FYKI2
