After seeing some of the stuff other WD's are capable of, I'm keen on learning a new skill and have decided that making simple things from CF would be the next thing.
Reading up on the internet I see there are a few DIY kits available for you to 'skin' your original items.
Another thread (I must find it again) was a guy who skinned a small panel, then released it from the original part and was left with a copy made from CF.
What would I need to copy the exhaust heat shields on my 690R? Would I need to make a mold first or can I skin, then build on top of that?
So far what I think I need is:
- CF sheet
- resin
- hardner
- mold release agent
If any WD's are in the business or can supply what I need, please let me know.
Any advice appreciated. :thumleft:
