Awesome report doubleoseven.  Nothing like a bit of solo riding to get you back into the game.

Now the Old Post Route is definitely going to be part of my next Cederberg trip! The route looks great!!

...but so far for me the best thing about flying solo, was the fact that I EXACTLY knew who’s **** in the riding party was the longest, thickest and was swinging the furthest. It was mine.

doubleoseven, you were in Dagbreek. The above statement is ALWAYS true  :thumleft:

Thanks for the RR.  :thumleft:

That is a nice route to do. I want to go back there in winter time. We met the farmer at the top of the trail. Very nice guy. He said there is many more trails to ride there. We should get together some time and arrange a trip back there.   :ricky:

Ah, another one who's had the secret ways of the solitary traveller reveal itself to him. Like most things metaphysical, this type of enlightenment chooses its own time to reveal itself. But only after it has ascertained that one is spiritually capable of learning these lessons and staying true to its sacred ways. There was a preordained reason your intended posse couldn't join you. It your  destiny was.  ;)

Well, that's my grumpy, anti-social story and I'm sticking to it.

Thumbs up for a brilliant ride report  :laughing4:

I can certainly vouch for Mount Ceder cottages having stayed there on numerous occassions - If only I had known about that steak on the other side of the mountain!!

Look forward ot the next RR...

Excellent ride see u enjoined it . :thumleft:

Nice RR. Did the Cederberge in December for the 5 th time. Always magic.

Great RR!! :thumleft: Can't believe I'm only reading it now...

That second day's riding looks awesome!! I'd definitely be keen to do that some time.
What I love about the Cederberg is that just when you think you've seen it all, there's always something new to suprise you!! Gotto love Cederberg Oasis too... What wonderful hosts!! Last time I was there Gerrit gave me a complimentary beanie, bedsocks and hot water bottle for the evening's camping  All were definitely needed as it was f..f..f..freezing!!! You'd have to go a fair way to find such great hospitality!!  :thumleft:
