Now this makes a lot of sense, a hammock sleeping bag type thing, with a mosquito net and a rain sheet, weighs only 1.5kg. It's bloody expensive and anchoring points for the ropes might be a problem here and there while camping, but I like it very much, and you don't need to carry a mattress around.

Even have pockets inside and outside, the outside pockets help to retain heat.

Why do I need Insulating Pockets?
Hammocks face different challenges than conventional tents. When deployed in temperatures of 50° F / 10° C or lower, the bottom of a hammock becomes exposed to the cold air where your body needs warmth the most. A high quality sleeping bag can help, but since your weight compresses the sleeping bagâ??s material, youâ??ll still have very little protection from a cold wind. The Clark North Americanâ??s insulating pockets double as storage areas for boots and other gear.

How do the Clark North Americanâ??s Insulating Pockets work?
Clark's patented pocket design locks in a stable air mass below you to deflect cold air that would otherwise cool the hammock material below your back. When you add a high quality sleeping bag, you can avoid having to buy cumbersome insulating pads and liners.
