Since I've been looking at getting back on 2 wheels, my 11 year old son has also been wanting to ride. He's comfortable on a MTB, so balance is fine. He knows the theory of clutch, gears and clutch control, but only in theory with NO experience (he even decided that he needed to watch YouTube to see "how to ride" and how the clutch works, which we've done and chatted about). We'll go check seat-height in the next week or two to get idea of the max seat height to comfortably get his feet on the ground. The question I have is; Should I consider something with automatic clutch like a CRF110 (I also quite like the idea of the "limiter screw"), or go full clutch and gears? I'm pretty sure he'll learn quick, but don't want to make it so complicated that it puts him off riding. I'm quite looking forward to getting on some dirt roads with him.
