Condition of R354 Sutherland - Middelpos - Calvinia

Hi All

Friends of mine are doing a ride from Calvinia to Tented Camp in two weeks time.
I am hoping to do Malmesbury - Ceres - Sutherland - Middelpos - Calvinia the Saturday and hook up with them to sleep at Tankwa Tented Camp that night.
Anybody on here done the R356 Ceres to Sutherland and the R354 Sutherland to Calvinia lately?
Im just gathering info and trying to get an idea of the road conditions. I will probably be riding alone.
