So, Fourways Kawasaki is the dealer I bought from.  They serviced my boet's KLR, did a valve clearance check and somehow put the bike together with the timing out by 2 teeth.  He couldn't understand why his bike didn't pull and fuel consumption was heavy.  Groenie eventually did the doohicky and showed him what the dealers did :eek7:

So I opted to stay away from Fourways as far as the workshop is concerned, took the bike to MEAN MACHINE for the 10 000km service.  They have a Dyno and race prep bikes, so I assumed I may be a bit safer there.

Got the bike back R1700 later and notice weird noises on the way home and the bike handles kinda weird.  Checking the bike over, I find both the chain adjuster bolts loose and rattling away, rear wheel was running skew all the way to Randburg and probably caused some damage to both sprockets and the chain.  Bodywork around the tank was put together wrong and my left front flicker fell off on the way home. ( It was fine before).

I am gatvol of paying for kak workmanship by monkeys who shouldn't touch a lawnmower.

So either I'm gonna get a workshop manual and wrench it myself or look for an independant mechanic, even if I pay twice as much.  The farkin dealers will see me the last time when I ride a new bike off the floor.  I wonder if Triumph in the UK know what kinda illiterate buffoons work on their customers bikes here in SA ?
