Need a bit of advice please ...

The crash bars are cracked on two places where bolted to frame, will post pic of the one just now.  One is on the inside of tank (haven't seen this myself) & the other was "repaired" previous and just sprayed with silver ...

-  Plan is to take off, shotblast, weld & powder coat black
-  Someone mentioned that I will not be able to match the polished condition after weld - therefore rather powdercoat black
-  Am I doing the right thing?

Then the H&B rack for Top Box also has a crack.  So, more or less the same plan:

-  Plan is to take off, shotblast, weld & powder coat black (all the racks)
-  But, were these powder coated?  Just spoke to someone for the shot blast, and they mentioned its normally a problem to get the old paint off ...
-  What's the best way then to strip off the old paint if it was powder coated?

Thanks
Jacques
