Hi, all.
As the title says.
My mistake was buying, then getting used to, a BMW G450X for trail riding (even taken it from De Rust to die Hel and back) - then getting tired of how I was always looking over my shoulder for spietkops cos the X had no lights, mirrors or license plate, and buying an XR650L to do the longer-distance work instead.
I won't lie: the L is a good bike. Within it's limits. But climbing off the X and onto the L feels like moving from an E36 M3 to an early 1980s Honda Ballade.
I'm really interested in checking out an XR650R with possible intent to buy. But they seem to be hen's teeth.
Does anyone know anyone around the Garden Route who might have an R for sale?
