Dakar fork oil

Would like to replace for oil this weekend, but not sure which oil to use. From previous experience with other bikes, I used slightly thicker oil than recommended for better performance. Is this also true for the Dakar and if so which viscosity and brand is recommended ? Is the amount recommended also OK ?
