Dakar steering head bearing

Hi guys.Hope you can help.Again. Want to replace the Dakar's head bearing.Going to follow the thread.But I noticed that you need a specialty BMW socket tool 90886316521.I don't have this tool.Can I do the job without it? and what do I use instead.Thanks for the advice.Again.
