Onto the dirt just after Uitenhage
Shortly after we met a friend of Kurts who happens to be the manager of the game farm we were passing through.

Then a certain Orange 990 decided it was going to repeat a performance from our December trip to Die Hell.
It was TF5's turn to close the gate so he was last on this stretch. After riding for about 5 minutes I still didn't see the distinctive amber headlight catching up with me at the speed of light. I stopped and waited another 5 minutes, then decided to go see what's up. When I arrived back at the gate, TF5's face said everything.
The 990's battery had decided so far and no more. After pushing him up and down the road for 15 minutes (in 35 deg heat) to no avail, we decided to make another plan. Highjacking a piece of fencing wire, the Honda tow vehicle was quickly attached. Here TF5 is standing, wire in hand as the tow vehicle approaches.

I must admit, once it gets going, it flies!
Then on to Kleinpoort in search of fuel, since Glenconnor had none.

Onto the R400. It was hot, dusty and dry, but a nice high speed stretch.

A quick stop at the Craft Shop run by Rene. Dawgs, these people need our support. If you're in the area, stop over for a pleasant break.
