What defensive techniques do you use in town? Conversely, what do you do that you shouldn't in town?
Personally, I assume that every car is intent on taking me down, and make plans before-hand to prevent it. Same with lights and intersections. I ride with orange headlights on bright. I use increased following distances, and I always keep an eye on traffic behind me - making sure there's a gap I can take off into if he might rear-end me.
Bad things - don't wear full ATGATT in town, ride too fast and weave between cars. There I confessed. :-[
