guys
a letter in topbike this month got me thinking - it was about a biker who met a delivery guy, who had no protective gear except a ratty old helmet. this guy couldn't afford gear, and his employer was unwilling to pay for it.
which is bull.
now sure, we can petition and complain, and try to change the labour laws to force employers to kit out their delivery riders. that could work, after a while.
in the meantime
how about we get together a pile of old stuff we either never use, or use seldom? then, somehow, we can try and track down these delivery guys - i don't know how we'd track them down (i suck at logistics) but there must be a way? we can then kit them out with whatever we have that fits.
sound like a plan? anyone else got any clever ideas?
i for one have a assault touring / adv style jacket, and a full face VR1 helmet i am willing to throw in.
what have you got?
