I found this post elsewhere, I considered it before, but that fell through.

Essentially the proposal would be, one person registers as a trader, the punters would order up front, get a standard pack of 3 tyres, 2 rear one front except for Rooibard, who gets 2 front one rear. And the group get there tyres at say 30% below retail.

Jus an idea.

"DIY Tyres

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm fed up with rip-off prices that tyre dealers are charging, so I have opened up an account with a major tyre dealer in the UK.

I can buy tyres at trade prices and to justify opening the account, I would like to offer tyres at trade prices to all of the members on the board. Tyres from Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Michelin, Avon, Pirelli and Metzeler can be supplied, as can inner tubes, valves, mousse etc. If the total price for the individual purchase comes to over £150 then delivery is free, otherwise it is £6.

As an example:

Metzeler Tourance 110/80 19" is £63.55 (RRP £100.00)
Metzeler Tourance 150/70 17" is £78.80 (RRP £124.00)

Continental TKC80 90/90 21" is £39.92 (RRP £62.32)
Continental TKC80 110/80 19" is £49.15 (RRP £76.72)
Continental TKC80 150/70 18" is £55.30 (RRP £92.12)

Of course, the purchaser would have to either fit the tyres themselves or get them fitted for about £10 (per loose wheel) from a local bike shop"

Maybe we could get something together?
