I found this photo of my grandfather on his way to my grandmother prior to their marrage.I don`t know which year it was, neither do i know what kind of bike it was.It must have been in te 20`s or 30`s as he was born in 1901, and he told me that he used to own Red Indians and Harleys.
He had to travel over 100 miles on a Friday afternoon to visit her.He got there in the dark and was only allowed to stay as long as it took a ¼ candle to burn, then he had to leave again travelling through the night to be at work the Saturday morning. The roads were just about non-existing and the bike hardly had lights. This went on for nearly 3 years before he got the okay to marry her. Needless to say they were still married when he passed away in1998
