This is something I have been thinking about a lot over the last year.

Is the fact that you own a expensive bike (that you try and keep from getting damaged) limiting your biking experience?
What would you rather go do Lesotho with - your 1200 GS or a XT 660, XR 400 , 650?
Is having that bigger (more expensive) bike worth having if you look at the amount of time you use it to get to where you want to be and then wish you had a more nimble / manageable  bike?

Your thoughts?  ???
