Drift Innovation has at last released a firmware update that fixes the 720p resolution and 50fps combination issue. THere are a few other bug fixes as well, such as the playback issues on the Mac and the external mic is now usable etc etc. It was released on the 17th July and so far I have not heard of any troubles with this new firmware. I am still testing mine and will report back here in a day or two once I have tried and tested it for myself. :bueller:

I did a tutorial on how to upload firmware to the Drift HD 1080p a while ago, if you need to do it your upgrade and are not sure on how to do it, have a look here
