I'm considering a new helmet but this time back to a DS. The previous DS helmet I had was a bit buffety but I understand these days there are DS helmets that do not buffet as much.
So my criteria are:
- Do not buffet to much
- Preferably have a built-in sun visor
- Must be able to take that Sena unit using the clamp and not the adhesive tape
- Not too heavy
I've narrowed it down:
- Arai - feels heavy and is expensive, no sun visor - R9000
- Desert Fox - No sun visor, is super light - R5850
- Airoh Commander - May as well get the Arai as the Airoh isn't much cheaper, has a sun visor - R6200
- Bell - No sun visor, is the cheapest of the lot but feels like good quality - R4900
- AGV - No sun visor - R5500
- Caberg - Sun visor - R5200
At the moment I feel it is between the Arai, Desert Fox and Airoh. The Airoh however does not look like it will mount the Seno without using the adhesive.
Opinions?
I've not tried any of these on. On Sunday I went to Fire it up...stood around for 10 minutes...asked for help and the salesman said he will be with me in 5. After 15 minutes I got bored and left.
