Hi we are planing a trip out to Dullstroom for the long weekend coming in June.
The plan is as follows.
Leave Gauteng from a central meeting point (to be confirmed) at around 7:30am on Saturday the 14th June
The route will be 90% dirt with nothing too hectic. Total kilos for the Saturday will be around 370km
Depending on the amount of stops etc we should be in Dullstroom by 2 or 3 pm. There is no rush the emphasis of the trip is enjoying the time on the road.
Accommodation has been arranged at the Duck and Trout in Dullstroom. This is a great Pup/Restaurant with accommodation on site. Cost per person sharing per night is R190 including Breakfast. If you don't want to share the cost will be slightly higher (will still confirm).
Once in Dullstroom we have 2 options
Option 1
Spend Sunday traveling around the numerous dirt roads around the area and return to the Duck and Trout for the night (350+km route already in the planing stages) and then return home on the Monday (Youth Day) via a different route as taken on the Saturday.
Option 2
Leave for home on the Sunday morning via the alternative route.
Total Kilos planned
Saturday Dirt to Dullstroom 370km
Sunday relaxed dirt ride around Dullstroom and a lekka long lunch somewhere 210km
Monday Dullstroom dirt to home 380km
There will be space for about 8 of us in total. So its first come first served.
Saturdays planned trip
Sunday loop around area >Updated<
Monday trip home
I'd appreciate your ideas and input
