OK, so I have an emergency hike that I have to do next week - Strandloper Trail from Kei River to Gonubie. I was told there is a place open last Friday and I need to be there on the 1st April. Got leave, Lump is serviced, got the hiking kit, got permission from the home office so it's all systems go.
Trip down will be straight-forward tar, stay over at Gariep.
Trip back however, starts on Friday the 6th, which allows me 4 days to get back to Jhb, so I was thinking......
Gonubie to Himeville - 500km odd
Himeville - Sani Pass - Mokhotlong - Butha-Buthe - Caledonspoort - Golden Gate
Golden Gate - jhb
Which leads me to the following questions:
Whats is Sani Pass like at the moment?
Suitable for 1-up with Anakees?
Is Himeveille to Golden Gate actually doable in one day?
What paperwork is required to enter Lesotho these days - apart from a passport?
Any info would be appreciated!!
