Jinne, you must see the tree, didn't know what hit it, was just standing there as it had for the past 100yrs............and suddenly gets smacked out of the darkness, Oppie is so stealthy, the tree didn't see it coming, poor thing. (The Tree that is)

@Eisbein Ball&Chain and I have never missed a bash, we either did the National or the EC or the WC or sometimes all 3, and in between some odd one nighters to the Tankwa or Cederberg. I did my very first national bash in 2006 @ Doringkloof, and I did the spit braai.....Hogsback I also did the meat in the Drums

Oom Karel is 80 YEARS OLD and rode his AT all the way from Hermanus, and he talked more kark than 2stroke dan something I aspire to if I reach that age.

Here are a few pics of Saturday, notice the Tyre Repair Saga.
Once again it was a great Bash, I rode in with Gerard and Paul, a lekker rustige ride, was looking forward to seeing the familiar faces and wasn't disappointed. Missed Cocky, but I believe his chassis was in for realignment and Wheel Balancing, all the best and recover soon Bud. Made new friends and ran into faces from 12yrs ago, Walter en Roché, goed om weer te ontmoed. KTMRICK and Reece, thank you for sharing the ride back through the Baviaanskloof. Psycho Porra, lekker kuier bud and safe journey home.

Gerard and the Loyal team: Ruaan and Barend and their friends who serve us and who are willing to put up with the rabble every year and enjoy it. Then last but not least the 2 most important people besides the Barman; Marissa and Jannie, who come all the way from George, lock stock and barrel, to feed us and make the most amazing Spit Braai, thank you all for a memorable weekend, each year.

Versigtig vir saamry, my ego gaan pakslae kry tussen jou en SH, weer n Germaanse dame gekoop.
Sal beslis dophou wanneer julle ry aangesien van Rooyen my nie saamnooi nie. Al die 50-ste verjaarsdag parties moet net eers klaarkom, het nog vier in vier weke oor.

Firstly, myself and Bower was kak babbelaas. (Some of you should try it sometime.)
Then the wheel would not get hard. Then I doubted myself being a doos for pinching the tube...( as some commented) I was baffled, as I never pinched a tube before( not with Andy's levers).
So the moral of the story is: Those spare tubes you have in your bag, get some air into them from time to time. You never know.

Baie dankie vir al jou moeite, dit was goed gereel. Well done! Die kostes was ( ek dink) baie laer as wat verwag was, so increase is in orde. Ek dink ook nie hoer pryse gaan mense weghou nie. Dis maar net moeilik vir som, ekonomie druk, mense raak ouer, ens. As ek sien hoeveel mense eintlik aan kak spandeer, is dit net 'n kwessie van prioriteite regkry. Moedersdag? Everyday is mothersday! Finally home after some disaster in the mountains between Jansenville and Graaf-Reinet. The mountains in that area do just not like DRZ tyres. Worst was that there was no cellphone signal otherwise I would have phoned @SKAAPKOP who I had met earlier in Jansenville. However, I managed to limp back with that flat wheel to Jansenville and still, the bead would not break. It took alot of effort from the tyre machine to break that bead


Thank you once again to Gerard for Organising, Jannie and Marissa for feeding us, and all the Skenkels (enkels) as well as @2StrokeDan and others for keeping us entertained.

Great meeting some new faces as well and @Mapsource , thanks for the company to Steytlerville, even though you made me work bloody hard on Sunday when we left Doornkloof
