Long time no post... 1e3 apologies

My sexy red 2005 baby is approaching 60k km
But now is giving me minor issues, first the symptoms and then I'll present my laymans guess as to whats wrong:

Blew the OEM flasher unit (was using LED indicators with resistor packs (sorry Le Cap) for 2 years with out any issues before though)
Indicators flash faster at higher Revs (using el cheapo Midas flasher unit (KLR FTW!))
Blew the 5A Filament on the tail-light globe
Blew the 10A fuse for the main lights/instrument cluster and tail lights (fun ride home on N1 at 23h00...)

I think the Rectum Fryer is not dumping the excess power generated at higher revs.
Centurion Lifestyle just quoted me R1732.85 with a 15 day lead time for a new one!!!

How do I go about testing if rectifier is indeed dodgy? Le Cap do you still have your three spare ones?
