I recently attended a presentation about protecting emails.
Does anyone else use this? Is there a need for authenticating email senders?
They say:
Sendmarc identifies real email and stops fake emails so you don’t have to worry.
They use DMARC - an acronym for “Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance“.
This will reportedly stop 3rd parties from:
- intercepting your mail or
- sending mails and pretend that they come from you (steal your digital identity and use your email address to send with).
This is another business expense. I need to know if this has become a necessity in order to do business.
