There have been quite a few threads on new GPS model and whether they are good for our game.
Guys, I would suggest the following functionality evaluation before I forked out cash for a GPS. And if the rep won't let you then put your money elsewhere.
1. Walk/ride/drive the GPS around the block and create a waypoint at the bottle store
- Can you see the track and waypoint on the GPS screen?
2. Download the track and waypoint to a PC. Can you see it on the PC ?
3. Can you filter and edit the track for publication in their PC software?
4. Can you save it as a GPX from their software?
5. Can you clear the track and waypoint off the GPS, and then reload from the PC?
6. Once uploaded, can you navigate the track around the block again in sunlight?
If not I would not buy it for DS riding, but I may give it to the butler for riding errands for me.
