Exploring around harties

My first ride report so please try and stay awake  :bueller: .Decided to do a little of the riding I love best which is to see a dirt road, wonder where it goes, and take it. Started at erasmia towards harties. I found a heavy technical section near the dam. I didnt attempt as I was by myself and felt a little funny after moering into a pigeon earlier on. Its got mean climbs lots of rocks and section that resembles coconuts at dewildt

I found the river crossing that I did with jules 2 years back. I was searching desperately for it and after 70km and alot of circling i found it. I figured being winter the river will be low. When I started crossing it, it seemed fine but all of a sudden it dropped! I heard the exhaust gargling and opened taps to get out! Luckily I didn't drown the bike. After the river I found some lekker dirt roads but unfortunately I don't have pictures.

That last water crossing is a lekker one, with a nice "surprise-hole" in the middle somewhere  :biggrin: :biggrin:

I would like to know where that track is that took you up the mountain overlooking the dam, it looks like a nice ride!

Did that road over the mountain many moons ago with the 'LewensGevaarlik' Going up fine but down on the other side - hectic.  :thumleft:  From what I can gather it is on private land.

Here is the route I did. The mountain route is well... on the mountain, where it does a loop. I didn't know it was private. Does it belong to the 4 x 4 place on the other side of the mountain. I went through there a while ago and the guys didn't seem to have a problem.

Yeah for sure, the path I did was fairly easy. I scouted it out a little and there is some pretty technical sections but you can avoid them.

Ive still got a score to settle with that mud pit at the end of rhino  :xxbah:. If my family didn't love me so much I would've probably had to share the dog kennel. I smelt like a turd dipped into a pile of vommit!
