So seeing as the weather in Cape Town is horrible I am doing a bit of work.
Had a leaking clutch master cylinder that is getting resleeved by Kelly007, will also cleath clutch jet before refitting and bleeding...hopefully that will resolve the clutch drag I experienced occassionaly. Getting that clutch switch screwed out of the master was an absolute bitch. Both levers are also going to get cut/bent/welded to make el-cheapo shorties.
Had an irritating rattle from the RHS endcan, so took zorsts off and stripped them down for repacking and a lick of paint as they were looking a bit tatty....shall I keep them black or change the colour to silver/titanium? The black looks cool but after a while look faded and tatty. The packing was disintegrating so I think it’s been in there a while.
New grips fitted. Like the half-waffle design of the KTM grips, but they are a bit overpriced. At least the look good. Not sure if I should wire them though
what thickness wire is recommended?
Crashbars and pannier racks to be stripped and repainted. Still unsure if I should paint or powdercoat them...have an itch to make the crashbars orange but time will tell.
Need to order an SAS delete kit and side stand switch eliminator
This is giving me an opportunity to clean everything properly and inspect all wiring/connections....
