First ride on Dirt with 990R

Me and my brother in law did a trip to Breetsnek yesterday, I wanted to compare the 990R against the GSA. It is unbelievable how much better the 990 handle on the dirt compared to the GSA. I usually have a few a "gatknyp" moments with the GSA on gravel when you hit a lot of loose pepbles or sand. NOTHING with the 990. I had one moment on lot off loose sand but that is because I slowed down to stop in the sand. It really is a pleasure riding the 990 on gravel, I even could do 3 jumps with it without feeling like a rock dropping.

I am very, very happy that I moved to the 990. The GSA is great on tar roads but the 990 on gravel feels like a GSA on tar road  eepwall:

As a previous owner of KTM dualsport bikes, current owner of KTM 2 stroke and BMW lebbenfifty I came to the following conclusion thus far:

KTM builds dirtbikes....



BMW builds cars.

Dit was n awesome trip, kan nie ophou kyk na fotos nie. En ja die gedeeltes wat nie fotos het nie kan die wat wil gaan kyk, die karre se olie op die grond getuig van sumps wat deurgestamp het. Maar ja die 990 is n masjien

Chris, jy weet ons het laas gepraat oor die 1200 wat voel of hy harder ry as die 1150? Hierdie 990 se suspension is so awesome. Gewoonlik op baie klipperige of corrugation paaie stamp die GSA my klaar en hy is op soft setting. Die 990 voel jy skaars die goed. Ek dink jy moet rerig kyk na so outjie  :thumleft:

According to Google history I did 659km yesterday with the 990. And I was still fine last knight. Seems the seat is not that bad.
