So I’m at it again with building a street legal (STROKER) CR500AF Motard . The Motard will have a fully functional DC charging system and be able to run lights comfortably with a 55w supply from the stator.
So to start the thread off I will firstly speak about the stator modification. This was probably the biggest challenge in order to get a fully functional charging system onto a CR500 motor. So how did I do it ? You basically take a CRF450X flywheel and machine out the Centre . You then take a CR125/250/500 flywheel and remove the flywheel from the crank adaptor. The CR crank adapter then gets mated to the CRF450X flywheel . The next step is to get the CRF450X stator to fit the CR500stator plate which with a lot of effort is manageable.
