Pack Dog
I'm selling my beloved blue baby - die Blou Vark. Our love affair has come to an end as I've fallen in love with a younger Austrian woman of the orange variety.
Die Blou Vark is no ordinary KLR650. She's the baddest KLR you've ever seen.
She's been rebored to 685cc and positively growls through her Beserker exhaust. She makes tons more horsepower over a stock KLR.
She's comfy and has great manners - on and offroad. I've upgraded her suspension (Ohlins and Wilburs - see below) and added crash bars, a top box, Renthal Desert handlebars, the KLR dash, LED spotlights, new tires (606 and MT-21).
Perhaps more importantly, I've nurtured her, serviced her meticulously, and polished her curves as often as I could. She never uses a drop of oil. All her fluids were changed last month.
She has covered only 45078km in her 11 years on this planet (she was born in 2009) and has never suffered a collision - only 17000km of those on her sexy new 685 piston. I fully expect that she'll be able to easily cover another 100000km.
I have her full service history available for you (with receipts and details of each service I've performed).
In the time I've owned her, I've spent R34735 on her upgrades alone.
This is the perfect adventure bike for someone on a budget.
She's faithfully carried me all over South Africa, including up the West Coast sand, along the Namakwa 4x4 trail, and has completed the BEN 10 challenge. She's prepared to leave for a trip around the world without needing anything.
She lives in Hout Bay, Cape Town.
