I am looking to get a GPS that will work on both Mountain Bike and Adventure bike.
I am aware that the eTrex Range is also an option, but, I would prefer a more dedicated cycling unit as I use a lot of the cycling specific data like Power, TSS, HR, Cadence etc etc.
I need to be able to navigate preloaded MTB tracks (I do some unmarked Stage Races where you only get a GPX Track, so you need to be able to follow a track). I will do the same on the Motorbike as I generally work out my route beforehand and do not use the GPS's built-in Maps to navigate. However, I am not sure if you can navigate "Normal Maps" like Google Maps on the Edge Range. This will be very useful as I sometimes (not often) need to navigate somewhere using Google Maps etc.
Basically, if anyone has used an Edge 1030 or 830 on an Adventure Bike, I would like to know your thoughts and experiences.
Thanks!
