Hi All,
Here's the situation:
Bought a new Streetpilot 3 before leaving the UK, was never used and now needs SA Mapping. The cost was R2200.00 for the mapping. Then I saw 2610's advertised for R2399.00. So I bought that as I get a GPS with the same software I would have spent R2200.00 on.
Now I need to determine which is the better model to actually run with - the Streetpilot 3 or the 2610.
For those who have exprience with these two models, I'd really appreciate your advice based on:
1) Ease of Use - long distance multi-point planning to oute changes, ammendments and replotting while on the road.
2) Reliability and durability - on a DS bike (mine in particular ) the unit will be prone to a few knocks, which is hardier than the other?
3) The 2610 guide does not show that it take battery's. Does it have a built in Nicad which is charged by either AC or car cigar socket?
Any other advice on these two models would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Lawrence
