Geo Braai PE 1 November

Drazil came up with the idea of a Geo Braai and I did not take much convincing that it was a good idea to have some interesting little adventures in between our longer rides.

The idea being we post co ordinates and you plan the route that suits you

Drazil was out on Friday afternoon already and spent the night camping by the river

I had a few things to do Saturday morning and and only got away after 10

When I had arrived Red Tiger and Crab and Bakkies were already there
Red Tiger won the LED Headlight for being the first to find the place and nogal without a GPS
Crab and Bakkie also found it very easily showing the GPS skills

5  ??? Dont know what this plant is hopefully one of our clever members can tell us, it is some sort of parasite that was on the Acascia roots and stank like a combination of rotting flesh and bad Diaorreah. The farmer asked his labourers and they said they use it for sunburn (if I was there at the time I would have asked them to show me  ;D )

Red Tiger heard the cries of the Fish Eagle and thought it would be nice to catch one

Drazil pointed out that it was not feasible and helped untangle his line from the treetops

Lekker een !  I would have really like to have been part of the outing, but after a 5 hour power failure on Saturday at the factory I had lots to do restoring the IT systems.  I think the idea of giving only the coordinates of a suitable venue is great - an extra fun factor of the ride there.  So, when is the next "Geo braai"?  Having done a few 4x4 GPS competitions, I know of a few plekkies that may be interesting. I would like to suggest that two prerequists apply: 1.  Must be within 100km from PE, and 2. Off-road, but reachable by a big D/S bike. Would there be any interest if I plan one?

this took a whole rocket science dept ages to erect

My 1ste post en moet sê ek hou die stories dop.  Is maar nuut in die ding maar sal graag julle wil join op die volgende 1.  Ek moet ook raad by jul kry oor hoe ek meer dinge wat rondom PE gebeur te vinde/hore kan kom.  Ek is maar altyd bang om alleen te ry.  Great om te sien daar is ander wat die wereld wil geniet op 'n fiets.
